This is dedicated to the 10th Doctor who many of us will never let go no matter what. The only way we will ever get over him is for him to return, full time to The Tardis and not just for one last special episode.
After his regeneration, he was not the same person. He changed so drastically and suddenly there was this complete opposite standing there. Our beloved 10th Doctor was gone and been replaced with - well, come to your own conclusion. I don`t want to insult anyone with what I think he was replaced by.
I am not talking about the actor(s) who replaced David Tennants` portrayal , this blog is not about that. I`m not "having a go" at his successor(s)
As fans of the show, we are told we should accept every and all versions of The Doctor to be a true fan but the time came when fans of the 10th just would not let go. Some had easily followed the crowd and happily went on to enjoy the adventures of the 11th Doctor and who are looking forward to the 12th like nothing had happened. Like he was indeed the same man.
If anyone reading this is among those, then you should leave now because this is not for you.
We are constantly being told by so-called "Whovians" that we are not true to the show because we can`t or won`t move on. We don`t want to move on, they do not understand how strongly we feel about it. We are told, like the new Doctor(s) or don`t count yourselves as a fan and told to give them a chance, be a good little person and follow the rest of the crowd and like anything and everything that is thrown at you regardless of if it is any good or not.
Well to them I say, to have the best part of five years of the 10th version of The Doctor from December 25th 2005 to 1st January 2010, including 3 full series, Christmas and other specials and of course the final goodbye which many of us still cannot watch without a tear, wretched away from us is not easy. We were left devastated at the beginning of a new year and what were we going to do without seeing him on our screens and were desperately searching for any repeats and wearing out our DVDs`.
Being a devoted follower and fan of the 10th Doctor is not an easy life when the majority, similar to what The Master once said, "Desert the 10th Doctor and jump on the next Doctors` bandwagon" so as not to disturb the Status Quo.
We will never give up, never sway our loyalty to Ten and we will defend our Doctor and Tens` story to us will never end as long as we keep watching.
